On October 28, 2013, it was announced that EA Sports and Tiger Woods had made a mutual decision to end their sixteen year relationship. There are 12 courses included with the launch of the game: Real coursesįor those who pre-ordered the game, The Predator is a 13th course made available to players. The points can be used to unlock unique gear like glow-in-the-dark equipment or even a Battlefield soldier outfit. Each test has three tiers of completion rankings, which help determine how many points the player earns. The challenges will take players through a series of night-time courses including Wolf Creek, Coyote Falls, and Battlefield 4's Paracel Storm. Night Club Challenge mode gives players over 170 tests of skill that range from basic fundamentals all the way to physics-defying trick shots. And the Quick Round mode allows players to get deeper into their career in half the time without sacrificing any XP. Players can even set up rotations of outfits for each day of a tournament. Players begin their career in the Web.com Tour and work their way up to the PGA Tour by earning XP, unlocking gear, and increasing their skills. The career mode in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour allows players to create their own customized golfer complete with bio templates such as child prodigy, college prospect, and instructor. Four playable camera angles and all-new TV broadcast presentation.NBC/Golf Channel integration including all-new commentary from Frank Nobilo and Rich Lerner.Quick Rounds allow players to simulate portions of tournaments and play the critical moments.It's their first golf game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One the first sports title to utilize the Frostbite 3.0 engine and the first PGA Tour game to not feature Tiger Woods in seventeen years. Having skipped a 2014 release to reportedly give developer Tiburon more time to work on a next-gen version of the game, Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is a first in many ways for EA Sports.
